State Parks are doing a plan for the gorge and one of the proposals is to reopen the old road down from the Women’s Forum to Rooster Rock.

Currently they are just thinking bicycles and hikers.  Does anyone know if Corbett equestrians still use this roadway? Do we want to submit comments supporting continued equestrian use?

The plan for Women’s Forum includes a rest room, expanded parking including six long slots for buses, and a kiosk, plus opening up the old road and adding viewpoint areas to the road. Plans are here: http://www.gorgeparksplan.com

* I didn’t see equestrian opportunities at any of the other state parks in east end of the gorge.  If you think there are some, please post here and Barb Adams can include them in her comments to the planning team.

Please share this with other Corbett equestrians.

Yes, Corbett equestrians still use this roadway. It would be great to have that as part of the plan!
