The Cedar Home for Veterans by Pat Lucas

Written by Pat Lucas:

" I am trying to raise money to open a home, the Cedar home of hope for Veterans. It is located in Spokane, WA. It was a home for veterans of WWI and WWII, it has quite a history of honor. My oldest son Jeff was a Navy SEAL kia 28 June 2005 in Operation Redwings. I want to honor his memory and this has been my dream and vision for about 8 years. It will be a home of transition, support and service.

My youngest son and his wife, James and Indy have written a book in his memory, "Ed, the AED" available on Amazon and on a website. Check it out!! They teach CPR, First Aid classes anywhere and sell AEDs to save lives!!

Now, I am asking for your help to give many of our heroes a place to regroup. Any help is appreciated. I need $10,000 by February 15th. I need help with grant writing, 501c3 paperwork, and money. That is as honest and as forthright as I can be. Thank you so much for your support and your prayers. Call all of your friends and call me too...this will be my marathon of 24/7 this week. God bless you everyone. "

The Office of Veteran's Services, located in the lower level of the College Center on the Gresham campus, provides a one-stop, centrally located area for students applying for or have questions regarding their veteran benefits.
