Good evening everyone!  This is a post from Multnomah County Office of Emergency Management.  The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Friday, December 6th.  Winds are expected to be 25-35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.  In addition to the current cold weather, these winds can cause a dramatic drop in temperature to 10 degrees to 5 degrees below zero.  If you or anyone in your family will be venturing outdoors, please be sure to dress appropriately.  If you know of anyone who may need to visit a warming center or overnight shelter, 211 Information is the best resource for current availability.  To reach 211 Information, you can dial 2-1-1 on your phone, visit www.211info.org, or even text "shelter" to 898211 to receive alerts when emergency shelters are open.  Stay warm!
