On October 8th & 9th we will be visiting the Corbett School District to
teach Fire and Injury Prevention to grades K-6 as part of National Fire
Prevention Week. We enjoy this time as much as the kids do and feel that
the information that we teach has made a difference in the safety of our
community. Talk with your young children about what they learn during this
time and reinforce what they learn, it has made a difference many times
each year across the country during emergencies. On Saturday, October 13th
from noon to 4:00 pm we will be hosting our annual Community Open House at
the Corbett Fire Station, 36930 E. Columbia River Hwy. This is a chance
for the kids to get parents involved in what they learned and for the
community to meet the volunteer firefighters who serve the community. We
will be serving hot dogs and chili, popcorn and drinks all day, so join us
for lunch. We will have different demostrations and presentations
throughout the day and fire truck rides for the kids and adults. Stop by
and see what we're all about.
