Public comment for Commission Board Meeting 5-29-14

Hello Everyone,

I'm emailing you today to inform the Corbett Safety Team that Commissioner McKeel has proposed a $60,000 set aside contingency fund in the Multnomah County budget for this upcoming fiscal year starting in July 2014.

She has created this fund to help clean up the Sandy River Delta and provide better outreach and care work for our homeless and camping populations in the recreational site while also providing our Sheriff's Office the necessary funds and support to clean up the very dangerous hazards you have all talked about for months at the safety meetings.

The Commission will vote on this amendment and adopt the entire budget on Thursday morning. If anyone would like to address the Commission on Thursday morning in support of the amendment, this would be the time to do that. Public comment is taken at the beginning of Board Meetings at 9:30am; sign up is near the entrance to the Board Room with the Clerk.

We are very hopeful that this is a continuation of the work you've all done of helping the Sandy River Delta continue to thrive for everyone's use and we hope that everyone on the Corbett Safety Team know that you made a difference and helped make this a priority.
