Hello Corbett Citizens and Affiliates,
The July crime log it attached and sorted by both date and location.  Since being assigned here in October, July has been the busiest month in our area.  Our average 1-page crime log grew to 3 ∏ pages with the vehicle break-ins, lost hikers and other incidents that came along with increased crowds and traffic.  The fourth of July parade and fireworks was a great success for everyone that made it possible.  There was a huge amount of team effort in making that happen.  Everyone had a fun time and there were no serious incidents.

Our deputies were stretched thin on 7/14 with a serious injury crash with Life Flight responding on Columbia River Hwy at Hurlburt, only to be followed by a motorcycle fatality.  The motorcyclist was apparently taking the detour onto Bell Rd. to avoid the first crash.  We had another taxing incident last week with a large group assault occurring at Oxbow Park.  Deputies responded as I stayed clear to handle calls on the east side of the Sandy River.  Responding deputies radioed that numerous suspects were fleeing across the river to the west side at Gordon Creek Rd..  I was able to stop numerous suspects as they emerged from the tree line.  The incident is currently under investigation.

AND DON’T FORGET….
Tonight, Tuesday 8/4 from 5-8 PM is the National Night Out potluck at the old Springdale School (now the Springdale Community Center).  Local businesses, the Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) along with deputies with the Sheriff’s Office and the Corbett Fire Department will be there to listen and answer your questions.  MCSO K9 Varro will also be in attendance for a demonstration.

Thank you,
Deputy Joe “Rocky” Graziano
