Hello Corbett Citizens and Affiliates,
I’ve attached the June Corbett crime log.  As expected the call-load increased significantly with the summer season and increased tourism.  We experienced a lot of car break-ins at the trailheads and parks.  With this crime log we can at least notice the days/times that most break-ins occur.  There’s a suspect photo on the last page of the log as well.
At Rooster Rock a man fired a handgun to harass some other people and the suspect was later arrested. In another incident a man covered the surveillance camera at the Vista House while his partner slammed his truck into the back of one of the telescopes in order to steal it.  The high quality surveillance camera was able to get an image of the vehicle just before the camera was covered and deputies were given a good photo and video of the suspect vehicle.  A deputy later spotted the vehicle in Wood Village and arrested the suspect.  The suspect had thrown the $7000 telescope into the water and got away with $23 in quarters.  He’ll have to work this off for quite a while.
It should be a busy time here on the 4th of July.  We’ve been planning and coordinating traffic plans and overall public safety concerns.  It should be a fun time for all.

Thank you,
Deputy Joe “Rocky” Graziano
