Hello Corbett Citizens and Friends,

I’ve attached the February report log and a little photo storyboard of a rescue of a man at Shepperd’s Dell Falls.  Our community was in the news this past month with the unfortunate event surrounding the Stomps family and her arrest for murder.  This was also an active month for varying incidents in the community.

Yesterday the Corbett Fire Chief, Brent Younker spotted two suspicious woman parked along Gordon Creek Road near a house.  He called 911 and followed the vehicles from a distance to advise the 911 dispatcher of their current location. Deputies eventually stopped the vehicle and another mini van.  An investigation determined that five subjects associated with the two vehicles had burglarized a residence near Hogg Mill Road. Numerous items including marijuana (grown for medical use according to the Dept. of Human Services) were stolen.  An investigation is pending to determine if the subjects may be linked to other crimes in the area.  The suspects possessed burglars tools, walkie talkies, binoculars and utility belts for carrying their burglars tools inside the house.  The suspects did not reside in the Corbett area.  Kudos to Brent for being an observant and persistent witness!

Thank you,
Deputy Joe “Rocky” Graziano

p.s. Attached here are two pdfs. One is the crime log and one is a pdf with photos from the rescue at the falls.
