NEWS RELEASE - October 11, 2018

Expect traffic delays on Corbett Hill Road during repairs beginning Monday, October 15... Drivers should expect delays on Corbett Hill Road in the Columbia River Gorge during weekday work hours the week of October 15 as Multnomah County Transportation replaces a failed culvert near the bottom of the steep road.

Crews will close one traffic lane at a time, just above Reed Road from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on weekdays, beginning Monday, October 15. The project will replaced a culvert that carries stormwater under the road. The culvert pipe has deteriorated, causing the road pavement to crack and sink.

Flaggers will direct traffic on the single open lane during work hours. On nights and weekends, both lanes will be open. The road will always remain open. This first phase of the project should be completed by October 18, weather permitting. A second phase of repairs will complete the project later this fall.

The project is funded by Multnomah County which has jurisdiction for Corbett Hill Road and nearly 300 miles of roads. For project information visit https://multco.us/…/webform/corbett-hill-culvert-replacement or follow us on Twitter @MultCoRoads.
