Dear Parents of students currently attending Corbett Charter School in grades 2 through 7 (Next year's 3 through :

WE ARE NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR "EGAN ISLAND", OREGON'S ONLY IMAGINATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM OFFERED TO JUST 75 STUDENTS on our current campus!

We will hold classes in what is currently the elementary school library, a wonderful space well suited for 75 students and a world class team of all-star teachers.

It's not too late to be taught by Larry Swanson, Sarah Dummer, and Lindy Sims.

We've had a lot of inquiries.  Get back to us again to confirm!

I am very excited about what we can get done!

Status Update By Kieran Egan Legacy Charter School

After months of not knowing where we stood, we now have a verdict regarding the future of Corbett Charter School. We will operate for one more year in Corbett with a total of 75 students...down from 470 this year. Corbett School District simply decided not to allow us the space to continue our school. The good news is that we significantly out-performed our sponsor and the State of Oregon again this year, and the Washington Post just ranked us #3 in the nation at the high school level. We are calling final iteration 'Egan Island'. One giant multiage (grades 3 through 8, with three master teachers!), Imaginative Education, Learning in Depth, Philosophy for Children classroom in the middle of Corbett School District! We tend to be the embodiment of IE. We intend to provide the most enriching year of schooling available in the State of Oregon next year. Corbett Charter School Association, meanwhile, has submitted an application to establish 'The Egan School, Rockwood', in a neighboring district. We are also negotiating (with our partners) the construction of a brand new building that will house 700 students beginning in the Fall of 2015. Watch out, world, IE is about to get bigger!
