Head, Heart, Hands and Health: What do these things have in common?
They are the 4H's. 4H is a youth club that has enriched communities around the nation for decades. It focuses on youth leadership development through the guided exploration of agriculture, natural science, home economics and animal studies. Multnomah County and the OSU Extension have recently revived their dormant 4H service. In our own community, a handful of families and the Columbia Grange 267 have teamed up to bring 4H back to Corbett.
Traditionally, 4H projects are selected by kids, guided by parents and supported by the 4H program through county extension services. For our Corbett Community 4H Club there is a $35 registration fee per child and the club meets at least monthly with additional special events planned. The first meeting of this Corbett Community 4H club will be October 2nd, at 2pm at the Columbia Grange. This will be our official beginning and the time to cement your membership. Parental involvement is required and family fun is inevitable! For more information, contact Debbie Vasen at
