Local TV weatherman and Multnomah County Deputy Sheriff to help Sparky the Fire Dog cook breakfast. Mark Nelsen, KPTV Chief Meteorologist, who lives in the Corbett area, along with Joe “Rocky” Graziano, the Multnomah County Deputy Sheriff Community Resource Officer, will put on Fire Department aprons and flip pancakes on June 13, 2009 at the Corbett Fire Hall.
Multnomah County Fire District #14 is sponsoring a cruise in breakfast at the Corbett Fire Station on June
13, 2009. Breakfast costs $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids ten and under, all proceeds from the breakfast
will fund the Ferd Riehl Scholarship that will be awarded to a student to study Fire Science or to be a
Paramedic. The breakfast will feature rides on fire engines for kids of all ages, door prizes, and balloons,
old cars, and Sparky the Fire Dog will be there to give everyone a hug
.
The Fire Department will meet car clubs at Lewis and Clark Park (MP 18 on I-84) at 9:00 AM and provide a fire engine escort to the Fire Station that is located at 36930 Columbia River Highway. The breakfast will run from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
