There is an exciting event coming up at the Columbia Grange! Our local Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) agent, Kim Galland, will be leading an informal talk on how to receive money to implement conservation practices on your property. Learn how to apply for cost share funding and help direct the efforts of future funding.
What: Receive information on funding natural resource management on your property. Bring your ideas about water quality, soil erosion, livestock, forestry or any other topic you feel needs attention.
When: 6:30 pm, December 15th at the Columbia Grange in Corbett, OR.
Who should attend: Any property owner or land manager interested in getting money to improve water quality, build soil fertility, control erosion, manage livestock, protect forestlands, remove invasive species, and otherwise protect natural resources.
Why: Natural resource management is important to all of us, especially if we're trying to earn a living off the land. However, best management practices can be expensive, technical, and difficult to implement. The NRCS provides significant cost shares and helps determine appropriate resource management approaches!
