Title: RESIDENT RECOUNTS RECENT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
Post by: www.corbettoregon.com on September 01, 2010, 03:48:12 PM
A weird thing happened this past Saturday  (Aug 28th).  A young man drove practically up to our door in a van without plates, came to the porch with a container of Clorox wipes in his hand and said h e was from mumble mumble company and wasn't trying to sell anything but wanted a few minutes of our time.  The dogs had gone crazy ' oh you have dogs' m husband and I both said we do not take any kind of sales calls without appointments, he said again showing me the Clorox wipes canister....I said time for you to go, go own now.  He did.

What I could not see is if there was someone tucked down behind the seat in the van (silver with a few small side dents and what looked to be a trip permit on the back window.  He backed all the way out of the driveway, did not turn around.  The more I thought about ti the more upset I got, thinking that any older single person could have been pushed down or past and their things taken. If no one was home-break in and load up?  Has anyone had this visit?

I had this exact same guy come down my driveway on Saturday also (28th).  I tried to write down liscense #, but as you mentioned there were no plates, just a temporary permit in the back window.  He is obviously casing our houses here in the neighborhood.  I let a few neighbors that I talked to know to be on the lookout for this guy.  It makes me nervous that he is around...

This happened to me yesterday, Sept 4th (I live on Knieriem Rd). I believe they were same two guys. They drove up my driveway in a van. My dog was chained up at the time because I expected company (not them). The guy on passenger side could not get out because my dog was right outside of his door. The driver got out with a container of cleaning product in his hand. He was very persistent and tried to come inside my house. I told him to leave and I also told him that they were lucky that my dog was not free (he would have chased them down the road). This guy looked around my property before he backed out of my driveway. We need to be on the lookout for these same guys in our neighborhood. Now I’m thinking about getting a gate for my driveway….
