Title: Community Sanctuary of the Pacific Northwest
Post by: zackery on July 07, 2026, 02:44:59 PM
Good afternoon,
My name is Zackery. I recently learned of the Columbia Grange #267 and am very pleased that I have. As a father of 5, who loves the PNW, I have built a vision for the 87.8-acre "Community Sanctuary of the Northwest" that I hope to create. Corbett is so incredibly beautiful. Protecting the Trout Creek watershed, introducing future generations to subterranean gardening, and building a collective space of generational stewardship is the kind of deep, legacy-driven work I seek to do.
I decided to recently, almost 3 weeks ago, to remove myself from social media, dive into planning and it has aided in my keeping this crowdsourced fundraiser hyper-local and focusing on micro-donations ($.25 to $1).
My goal with this is to build authentic community equity with families and next generations, so that all feel they contribute. Even a single quarter to a sanctuary 10 miles from their home, how far our family currently lives in a small apartment in relation to the property location, those contributors aren't just donors; they are vested co-owners of the generational education and impact on the ecosystem.

I hope our family, and fellow like-minded future stewards of Trout Creek share our patience, work ethic, and focus on human dignity, make this sanctuary a reality.
