Organic Gardening Program 2010 Calling all who are interested in growing organic produce for yourself and your family. The Columbian Garden Club is soliciting community members of all ages who are interested in being involved in an organic gardening educational program. Depending on your interest, we could get started before spring and have a bounty of healthful produce before summer’s end. Please contact Sue at 695-2124 if you're interested.
Financial contributions
to many local, state and national organizations: 4-H Program, Head Start, Blue Star Memorials, National Cemeteries, Corbett Fire Hall, Vista House, Columbia Grange, The Oregon Garden.
GARDEN CLUB MISSION To provide educational opportunities for members and the general public in the areas of home gardening, landscaping, and horticulture while promoting interest and activity in the beautification and conservation of our environment. We accomplish our Mission through members’ active participation in numerous projects and activities including:
ACTIVITIES
• Annual Plant sale fundraiser [ select here to download the 2010 flier ] held each spring at the Corbett Fire Hall featuring annuals, perennials, shrubs and vegetables particularly suited to our local environment.
• Holiday Greens sale.
• Special garden tours.
• Monthly educational programs.
• Opportunities to enroll in garden club schools, attend District meetings and State Flower Shows.
MEMBERSHIP
We welcome new members. Prospective members are asked to complete and mail this Membership Inquiry form and we will promptly contact you regarding membership procedures.
MEETING TIME & PLACE
Time: Meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month (between September and June). Place: Corbett Fire Hall meeting room, 36930 Historic Columbia River Highway, Corbett, Oregon.
